Carol is a much-loved part of the BBC Breakfast team and is regularly complimented for her weather reports online and in person.
The star claimed she would “never forget” one encounter when “one chap” told her about his “terminally ill mother” who was in a hospice.
She recalled: “He said seeing me being bright and breezy and like the day was filled with joy, made her feel like there was a lot to live for.
“I have never forgotten that.”
Carol, who was trained by the Met Office, has won at least seven TRIC Awards for presenting weather forecasts.
