AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT With Navi 21 XTXH GPU Achieves Record-Breaking 3.3 GHz Overclock, Demolishes All Single-GPU World Records in 3DMark Fire Strike Extreme Benchmark
The AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT custom variants have been receiving the Big Navi 21 XTXH upgrade for a while now. We have seen the ASUS ROG STRIX LC TOP, Sapphire TOXIC Extreme, PowerColor Red Devil / Liquid Devil Ultimate, and ASRock OC Formula variants getting the specific GPU variant so far. The original review concluded that the best overall GPU water block on the day was the EK-Quantum Vector. The Alphacool block had some issues with VRAM temperature, which the company is looking into, and the Corsair XG7 looked pretty average across the board in terms of the thermal performance.
While testing the new Corsair XG7 samples, we also thought it was a good time to take a look at EKWB’s new Active Backplate for RTX 30 reference design cards. These active backplates were supposed to be included in the original review but samples were not ready in time.

The launch of AMD s new Radeon RX 6700 XT graphics card ($479.99) is a bit of a rerun, but of a so-so mid-1970s cop show: a story we ve seen before, in an episode we were hoping we wouldn t see again. To quote our earlier Radeon RX 6800 XT review: This launch has been anything but smooth. Benchmarking took multiple days.just to come to the same conclusion: AMD s driver support continues to be the company s main weak spot. As an architecture, RDNA 2 holds a lot of promise both in PC and console, but as of today, that s all we saw in the RX 6800 XT.a whole lot of promise, without consistent-enough results to back it up just yet.
