County to Host Online Conversation on Pediatric Wellness Feb. 24
An online conversation focused on pediatric wellness in the time of COVID-19 will be held Feb. 24 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The event will be free to the public, according to a recent press release.
The event is part of a series, Wellness Community Events: Healing and Holding On – One Conversation at a Time for the Community. The series focuses on the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on mental health and wellness of communities.
Dr. Dominique Foulkes, medical director and chair of pediatrics at Suburban Hospital Johns Hopkins Medicine in Bethesda, will lead the conversation. Dr. Foulkes works with the Shaw Family Pediatric Emergency Center, an innovative facility that combines emergency and inpatient services.
County Workshops Focus on Impact of COVID-19 and Mental Health
Montgomery County is holding a free online event, discussing mental health and the COVID-19 pandemic, on Wednesday, Feb. 10 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
The conversation will focus on the different types of grief those in the community have endured over this past year, how to cope and move forward.
This video event is one in a series developed by the county. The program, Wellness Community Events: Healing and Holding On-One Conversation at a Time for the Community, focuses on addressing mental wellness in the community as the pandemic has exacerbated not just physical but mental health just as much.
