An autobody employee escaped serious injury Tuesday night after police say he was in the trunk of a vehicle that lead police on a high-speed pursuit.

Jason Gascoigne, an employee at Chico’s Auto Body Repair, jumped into the trunk of a 2009 Audi A4, pictured, that had been at the shop for months as a 27-year-old Rochester man drove off with the vehicle and led police on a chase throughout Rochester. Gascoigne was able to call 9-1-1 from the trunk of the car and assist police during the chase. Marcos Gomez, pictured at right, the owner of Chico’s, followed for as long as he could in his own vehicle before losing sight of the Audi.
