WTMJ-TV (Channel 4) is launching a half-hour newscast focusing on positive stories that celebrate the city we love.
Steve Chamraz, who co-anchors Channel 4 s 5 and 10 p.m. newscasts, will host the new show, Milwaukee Tonight ; it debuts May 10 in the 6:30 p.m. time slot. Milwaukee Tonight replaces TMJ4 Now, which Chamraz also hosted.
Chamraz will be joined on the new show by Cassandra McShepard, the Milwaukee broadcasting veteran who joined Channel 4 last month with a charge to focus on heartfelt stories about the community. Our community has been through such challenging times, and we produce plenty of other newscasts to focus on the tough stories going on around us, Channel 4 news director Tim Vetscher said in a statement. Milwaukee Tonight will celebrate the city we love.
