What started as a BTB fest turned into a 2-bomb storm, but it was Redwoods goalie Tim Troutner and his 24 saves that earned MVP honors as his Adversaries topped the Defenders, 23-21, in the PLL All-Star Game presented by Crowdstrike from PayPal Park in San Jose, Calif.
Troutner’s saves earned him the MVP and earned the Oakland Lacrosse $12,000 ($500 per save), but his highlight will be the behind the back rebound goal he scored in the third quarter, giving his team a four-goal lead heading into the final frame.
Will Manny posted nine points on six goals and he was hardly the only Archers offensive player to put up bag numbers as Marcus Holman opened the game with two assists and didn’t slow down, making a late push for MVP honors.
