In appomattox county, and waverly, virginia tomorrow. Those are two of the hardest hit areas from todays storm system. One person is missing in the evergreen area of appomattox county. There have been at least three deaths, and a centra spokesperson confirms three people are being treated for critical injuries at Centra Community hospital two others are being treated there two people with injuries are being treated at Lynchburg General Hospital. Tomorrow, appomattox county schools will be closed. And Patrick County schools will operate on a twohour delay. Some of the worst damage in our region is in appomattox county. Wdbj7s tim saunders is live in evergreen, where the lu students are helping with clean up efforts. Kimberly, these students are part of a group called lu send. The organization just formed earlier this year. Its a way for students to volunteer and help with disasters and humanitarian crisis around the world. This disaster was an opportunity for them to do mission work right in their backyard. Students are clearing debris and helping any way they can here in the community of evergreen, one of the hardest hit parts of appomattox county.
