We have upper level northerly winds and a building area of High Pressure that has already put us at 70 degrees in antioch, upper 60s by the delta, mid 60s, san ramon and were looking at a cool 55 in San Francisco. So anywhere from about a degree to eight degrees warmer except at the coast we have that fog. It will be with us to keep temperatures comfortable there and we will have moderate to good air quality today only because by the time we get to tomorrow, another 5 to 10 degrees of warming and some very high upper level smoke, perhaps thats creating more of those hazy conditions. Some rumbles of thunder later on today were going to get in some sun and a little bit of rain to start, and then more downpours throughout the afternoon. Heres a look at live doppler seven. We can see the lightning bolts in north of ukiah and the blizzard still growing strong in the Sierra Nevada. Wind gusts up to 80 miles an hour. Over 100 miles an hour at our peaks. Look at the heavy rain from crockett to hercules down through richmond. 580 and 680 towards walnut creek. Snow mixed in with lighter rain from yountville. Highway 12 and eldridge, and then back towards the coast and mill valley. Mount tam some snow, more rain, the richmondsan rafael bridge there and then a cell right about to move into San Francisco. Steady rain, heavier rain around union city, fremont as you will notice 880. So it is going to be tough getting around the south bay from sunnyvale, san jose into the santa cruz mountains. Also seeing steady rain, lighter showers in the north bay right now as we widen the picture here, this is a cold and potent level one storm. Right now were just getting the front arriving into our area, but we are seeing lightning strikes right along the Northern California coast, and its not out of the question for us to see some as well.
