A man described as a kind and gentle soul died after his moped collided with a tractor and trailer, an inquest heard today (Thursday, May 13).
The inquest was held in Taunton THE horrific moment a young moped rider died after ploughing into a tractor was caught on a vehicle s dashcam. Nathan Harmer-Turner, 28, was overtaking a line of vehicles on the wrong side of the road when he hit the tractor and trailer loaded with potatoes as it was turning right. An inquest at Taunton today (Thursday) heard that Mr Harmer-Turner suffered a catastrophic head injury when he went under the rear wheels of the trailer at Dillington farm estate, near Ilminster, on September 25 last year. A police investigation said the L plated moped was being ridden at between 38 and 44mph on the 30mph road when it overtook some vans and was on the opposite carriageway.
