Two people were killed from a two-vehicle crash on Juniper Canyon Road near SE Paulina Highway yesterday. According to Sgt. Tim Durheim with the Crook County Sheriff's Office: On January 2, 2023 at approximately 4:30 p.m., deputies from the Crook County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a two-vehicle motor vehicle crash on Juniper Canyon near Paulina Highway. The crash was reported to have multiple injuries and one vehicle was reported to be on fire. Upon arriving, deputies located two vehicles blocking both lanes of travel on Juniper Canyon Road. One vehicle was fully engulfed in flames, the second was burning from the engine compartment. The drivers of both vehicles were transported to St. Charles Hospital in Prineville by Crook County Fire and Rescue. Two occupants of one of the vehicles were deceased at the scene.
