WINONA, Miss. (WTVA) - After a year of job instability, a new company is looking to bring over a hundred jobs to a town in Montgomery County.
The company is Biewer Lumber. It broke ground on Wednesday afternoon preparing to provide 150 jobs for the area.

WINONA, Miss. Executives from Biewer Lumber have announced the development of a new sawmill which will be located in Winona, Mississippi. The Winona facility will be the second Biewer sawmill located in the state. The new sawmill will be modeled after Biewer’s Newton facility, which was complete in 2016. This new facility will bring more than 150 new jobs to the area of Winona, the company says.
“My family’s passion for the lumber industry has prompted this expansion in the south. There is no better place to grow the business than the fiber-rich state of Mississippi” stated Tim Biewer, president & CEO of Biewer Lumber.
