Whether it s throwing doggie maternity shoots or organising kitty birthday parties, owners are no longer just feeding their pets and leaving them outside.
Petcare has come a long way since these fur babies (and furless babies) were introduced to domesticated life.
Although we have to admit this might be the first time we ve seen a pet funeral.
And it s not like the one you might have had in your backyard with a shoebox and a few flowers.

Have you heard about Dexter, the pug from Allentown, Pennsylvania, who died recently after an illness at 7 years old? His owner, Tim Beville Jr., a pastor and preacher, gave his companion a funeral, and a Facebook post of the ceremony has gone viral.
Dexter was born in Bethlehem, PA to Galaxy and the Late Leinda Rockmore, the obit reads. Dexter has been apart of the family since he was 9 weeks old. There was never EVER a day that he didn t do something that would bring a smile to my face and even make me laugh out loud. He always fell asleep on his back with all 4 legs up in the air. He loved to ride in the car, but hated the rain. He loved laying on top of the couch so he could look out the window and watch the guys across the street at the barber shop.

It was a paw-some send-off for a Pennsylvania pup who’s now in the big dog house in the sky.
Dexter Beville, a 7-year-old pug from Allentown who died April 27 from an apparent illness, received an over-the-top funeral this week according to a Facebook post from his owner that’s gone viral with 40,000 likes and 71,000 shares. Run Free Dexter! says the caption, written by Dexter’s owner Tim Beville Jr., a pastor and preacher, who didn’t return The Post’s request for comment.
The six-photo upload, whose comments include He’s at peace and in heaven, shows the funeral took place in a flower-filled room.
