The United States has hit a grim milestone: It has been one year since the first confirmed case of SARS-CoV-2 was diagnosed in the country. For many it is hard to believe that a full year has passed since we became plagued by social distancing, mandated facial coverings, and sky-high unemployment. Perhaps even more difficult to fathom is that there are vaccine candidates already being administered. British naval historian and prolific writer C. Northcote Parkinson once held, “Delay is the deadliest form of denial.” Certainly, delay cannot be cited regarding the clinical study, production, and injection of Covid-19 vaccines, as emergency use authorization expedited the process to a speed quite lit

Science shows that it may be harder to recover from Covid-19 if, like tens of millions of Americans, you struggle with chronic health conditions. But mainstream media and corrupt news outlets tend to focus only on those who become ill from the virus. Fortunately, the chances of contracting let alone dying from Covid-19 are incredibly low. According to a recent study conducted in association with Stanford University, “For a 50-to-64-year-old individual . . . the probability of a hospitalization is 1 in 709,000 and the median estimate of a fatality is 1 in 6,670,000.” Many more of us will, however, experience a litany of otherwise preventable health consequences, due in large part to the government’s ongoing “prevention” protocols, i.e., “lockdowns.”

Seven months have passed since a novel virus upended our lives, and we still don’t have a clear national strategy for taming the beast that is Covid-19. If you’re thinking one is on the horizon excuse the pun don’t hold your breath. Conflicting information pervades the airwaves. President Donald Trump says we are rounding the final corner while Dr. Anthony Fauci says we are still in the first wave. New York will soon re-open indoor dining at 25% capacity while parts of Texas reopened at 75% capacity in May. There is no succinct federal plan mainly because the needs of the various states differ so greatly. State governors have resorted to a patchwork approach to reopening, inadvertently sowing confusion in an already mind-boggling time and potentially adding to interstate transmission of the virus.
