Bryce C. Newell, PhD, JD, is an Assistant Professor of Media Law and Policy in the School of Journalism and Communication at the University of Oregon. Previously, he was an assistant professor at the University of Kentucky; postdoctoral researcher at the Tilburg Institute for Law, Technology, and Society (TILT) at Tilburg University Law School (in the Netherlands); and Google Policy Fellow at the Samuelson-Glushko Canadian Internet Policy and Public Interest Clinic (CIPPIC) at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law. Bryce is also a Board Member of the Surveillance Studies Network (SSN) (a British charity); Dialogue Editor of the SSN s open-access academic journal, Surveillance & Society; and a founding member of the Editorial Board Committee for the new open-access journal, Technology and Regulation (TechReg).
