A regulator of the European Union has imposed a fine of 345 million euros (about 368 million dollars) to the social network of Chinese capital TikTok. The Irish Data Protection Commission (DPC), which plays a central role in ensuring compliance with EU rules, announced in a press release. TikTok Technology Limited will have to pay "administrative fines totalling €345 million" and bring its operations into line within three months. It has 134 million users in the EU and this investigation includes practices between July 31 and December 31, 2020.
