The closure include Sweetwater Regional Park's Morrison Pond, South Ponto State Beach and San Diego Bay "including all water north and west of Chollas Creek, up to Shelter Island."
Several beaches and bodies of water including San Diego Bay remain closed Tuesday owing to sewage spills, according to the county's Department of Environmental Health and Quality.
The closure extends from the international border to the south end of Imperial Beach and extends a water contact closure previously in place for the Tijuana Slough shoreline.
