CLEMSON, S.C. Hunter Tyson (Monroe, N.C./Piedmont) is one of 60 men’s and women’s basketball student-athletes, who excel both on and off the court, to be selected as a candidate for the 2021-22 Senior CLASS Award. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence: community, classroom, character and competition. An acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School, the Senior CLASS Award focuses on the total student-athlete and encourages students to use their platform in athletics to make a positive impact as leaders in their communities. Tyson has been an outstanding representative of Clemson and the basketball program in his time in Tigertown. He carries a 3.5 GPA and has earned NABC Honors Court recognition, as well as being a two-time All-ACC Honor Roll and All-ACC Academic Team selection.
