Growing Great Vegetables: Preparing the Garden and Care

The spring of 2020 saw a surge of gardeners taking up the trowel for the first time to try their hand at growing vegetables. Growing Great Vegetables is a seven-week webinar series covering the basics of starting a vegetable garden. This session will cover how soil plays an important role in growing a vegetable garden, including soil testing and amendments, fertilizer, manures, mulch, watering, weeding, and gardening tools. Marshall, IL -(Effingham Radio)- On January 21, 2021, the group 100 Women Who Care Marshall, Illinois meet virtually. 100 Women Who Care is a group that of women who care deeply about their community. A 100 WWC group gathers 4 times a year for a one-hour meeting and each member writes a $100 check to the charity that the group selects. This combined donation makes a real impact, without time consuming fundraising events and planning. The mission and hope of 100 WWC is to provide for those in greatest need in the local community.
