The Boston Globe launched Project Takeout, an initiative asking you to do your (delicious) civic duty: Get food to go that you can afford from a local, independent restaurant. Restaurants are in a fight for their lives due to the pandemic, but takeout doesnât just support these small businesses that are such an integral part of our cities and neighborhoods. It supports those they employ. Pre-pandemic, 1 in 10 Massachusetts jobs was located within the four walls of a restaurant.
