GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – A major hospital system is relaxing its visitation hours and guidelines as COVID-19 cases drop.
Tidelands Health announced on Monday that it has adjusted its visitor policy but while still mainting strict precautions to protect the health of patients, visitors and staff.
The changes have been made due to the decline in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations along with rising vaccination numbers.
“We are moving forward with updates to our visitor policy after careful evaluation,” said Dr. Gerald Harmon, vice president of medical affairs. “The well-being of our patients, team members and visitors remains our top priority.”
