So this is causing bay mud that underlies island to consolidate over time and we can monitor that and as that consolidation primarily consolidation is complete, then this soil will be removed to the intended finished Floor Elevation of the new structures. [ music ] in the 1989 loma earthquake, the ground level of this island dropped by four inches. Pretty much uniform across the island. Loose sand material used to build the island, whether it gets hit by a seismic forces, the sand moves and consolidated. One of the processes to further stabilize the loose granular ground, a dynamic rate is used to densify the soil by High Frequency mechanical vibrations. The rig in the background has four hpiles that goes down through the upper 50 feet of sandy material and as they vibrate, they vibrate causing that san material to consolidate and settle so as we do that process, we observe about 18 inches in settlement so the ground level around that equipment will drop by 18
