FSU is coming off an impressive 67-52 home win over Syracuse on Thursday, using its strong defensive play to force a potent offense like the Orange into shooting just 30.4 percent (17-of-56) from the floor. In that matchup, a full-court attack by Syracuse that typically wears down its opponents did not execute against FSU, which shot 58.3 percent (7-of-12) in the fourth quarter to close out the win.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Seminoles.com) - A dominant first half from redshirt junior Bianca Jackson helped pave the way for the Florida State women's basketball team (7-5, 6-5) to secure a 67-52 win against Syracuse (11-5, 8-5) in their first game back at the Donald L. Tucker Center since Jan. 21.
"I could not be more excited and proud of how we responded tonight," interim head coach Brooke Wyckoff said. "Our girls stepped up to the challenge tonight against a really good Syracuse team. We had some players step up and they did it together as a team."
This is the Noles' first of four straight home games after playing four straight games on the road. The Seminoles win tonight also breaks a three-game skid against the Orange that dates back to Jan. 19, 2017.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Seminoles.com) – Florida State Women’s Basketball faces a big road test on Sunday at 3 p.m. on ESPN2 as it battles No. 2 Louisville at the KFC Yum! Center.
“We’re excited,” FSU Interim Head Coach Brooke Wyckoff said. “Just to be able to go up there, play some basketball and play against a great team like them in their place will be a great experience for us. It will be a really great challenge, and I think our players are really excited and hungry and ready to get out on the floor.”
The Seminoles (4-1, 3-1) last played on Dec. 31 in a 73-63 win at Virginia Tech. Wyckoff looks to lead Florida State Women’s Basketball to its sixth 4-1 start in ACC play in the last seven years. A win on Sunday would be FSU’s first 4-1 start to conference play since the 2018-19 season.
