LOS LUNAS â Multiple local agencies and state health officials gathered at Los Lunas High School on Thursday, Dec. 17, to conduct a test run on a large scale drive-thru vaccination site, something that is likely to be replicated in other areas in the state.Â
Valencia County Fire Chief Brian Culp said this training exercise was the first of the kind in the state.

In Los Lunas, they ve been preparing for the day. Their fire department said they ve been working on getting an efficient process down since March.
Los Lunas High School was the location selected for the first drill. The more people we get vaccinated, the quicker we will hopefully return to normal, said Sidney Olivas, who handles communications for the high school. I have two kids who attend Los Lunas schools. It has been, you know, being home, online school hasn t been, you know, it comes with its challenges.
