Suffer burns. The explosion happened near times square this morning. At least three other people were injured. Reporter we are outside of the Port Authority bus terminal in manhattan, about a block west of times square. This is where this terrorist incident took place this morning, about 7 20 a. M. According to the nypd Police Commissioner james oneill, the device exploded inside a tunnel connecting two of the major subway lines where passengers connect and the suspect can be seen on Surveillance Video walking eastbound in that tunnel and then the explosion. The suspect himself suffered serious burns in that explosion. The only other known injuries at this time considered minor described by the fire commissioner as a ringing in the ears. To me it wasnt that loud. Like i said, it sounded more like a gun shot or something going off. And then you see the smoke. Reporter family members say they didnt know the suspects but police say the robbers were im impatient and one of the suspects began ransacking the apartment. While one of the suspects held the 10yearold girl in his arms with a gun to her head he made statements to the family and also to the girl you know basically threatening her safety. Reporter police say the two men fled into a vehicle, where two other men were waiting and fled. Leaving behind a shaken family and angry neighbors. For somebody to put a child into that position, thats really heartless. Reporter police are still not releasing many details publicly because of the Ongoing Investigation here. But say the four men appear to be latinos in their 20s who fled in a small, dark fourdoor sedan.
