KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 18 The ongoing Red Sea crisis has prompted a significant rerouting of ships, impacting the global shipping industry, while Malaysia’s shipping sector.
PETALING JAYA: Imports arriving into Malaysia are yet to be impacted despite global trading activities facing a hiccup – in view of a drought at the Panama Canal and the violence linked to the Israel-Hamas war near the Suez Canal, say local shipping associations.
KLANG: While Israel-based shipping company Zim Integrated Shipping Services Ltd will not face much difficulty in removing its 4,000 containers stranded in Malaysian ports, it may need some time to do it, say industry players.
