some people said first impression for some of the candidates including vivek ramaswamy who prides himself on not being an politician. as they are all throwing elbows up on that stage they really went after ramaswamy. watch. this let me address a question on everybody s mind at home tonight. who the heck is this skinny guy with a fun will last name and what the heck is he doing in the middle of the debate stage. i m not a politician, you are right about that. i m an entrepreneur. my parents came to this country with no money 40 years ago. i have gone on to found multi billion dollars companies. i did it while marrying my wife and raising two sons. following our faith in god. that is the american dream. the guy. bret: listen, listen. i have had enough. no, no. hold on. i have had enough already tonight of a guy who sounds like chatgpt standing up here. [cheers] bret: is there anyone on stage who would not support the increase of more funding to
electability? hoping that it s going to or that it s going to take care of itself. at some point though the campaign is going to be engaged. this is very early in the process. most normal people, i m not one of them because i follow politics for a living. are not paying that close attention to this. bret: as of yet. as of yet. bret: guy, final word. i agree with that one thing i will be very interested to watch from chris cities because he can take people out as we mentioned the rurubio example. will he train on donald trump or will he expand the blast zone a little bit. he has been throwing elbows and round housing at ron desantis will that continue or a singular mission? we ll see. bret: okay. panel, thanks. a little different show tonight. again we will have an interview with the former new jersey governor and he will say officially he is running. and we ll ask him some questions about why he is doing that. if you can t catch us live, set your dvr 6:00 p.m. eastern time 3:
far as what 2024 would look like. i would agree that ron desantis is the rising star within the republican party. he has all the trumpian positive qualities but none of the baggage slowing him down. but we don t necessarily know what a tough primary fight would look like if it had ron desantis and donald trump throwing elbows at each other. we will end with this with both of you here for biden and the democrats. the idea of gee, we didn t get slacked doesn t seem like a thin basis for mandate. so what do biden and the democrats take from this? they should pivot toward the middle. they should look at border security and say okay. it is more beneficial for the democratic party for us to work with republicans and do something to solve the problem. that is what bill clinton did after he took his losses in 1994. and, he won a second four year term.
seeing something of a collective sigh of relief from world leaders in europe. they are welcoming joe biden as part of, quote, the club as president macron put it. gone are the white knuckled hand shakes with macron, instead it is a stroll on the beach with arms around shoulders instead of throwing elbows to make a point, biden is using his elbows to greet allies. while leaders like boris johnson may consider joe biden a breath of fresh air, another leader who is less impressed with the new goo is russian president vladimir putin who will have his turn with president biden next week. translator: even know i believe that former u.s. president trump is an extraordinary individual, talented individual, otherwise he would not have become u.s. president. president biden is radically different from trump because president biden is a career man. he has spent virtually his entire adulthood in politics.
plan and i think what vice president biden and senator klobuchar and mayor pete is that listen there is a way to get to universal health care without taking private insurance away from 160 million americans and raising taxes on the middle class. the democrats are the ones that are in favor of giving people health care. not taking it away. and think what the realistic wing of the democratic party is saying is don t give the republicans the health care issue back again. right. be thoughtful and smart about how you propose something that actually works that you can pay for that doesn t raise taxes on the middle class and gives people health care and i think people have legitimately said to senator warren because we don t agree with you, doesn t make us weak or not ambitious, we re just thoughtful of building a bridge to get you to the other side. or sexist. and this is all primary stuff. it is to be expected. they re big boys and girls. they can take it. they re throwing elbows at
