Bushawn Shelton, 39, coordinated the year-long patricide-for-hire scheme to murder Sylvester “Sally Daz” Zottola. Sally Daz's son, Anthony Zottola, ordered the killing because he coveted his 71-year-old dad’s multi-million-dollar real estate empire.
Prosecutors said the messages between defendant Anthony Zottola and a gang member who pleaded guilty in the murder-for-hire plot constituted a “conspiracy in action” to rub out suspected mob boss Sylvester “Sally Daz” Zottola.
Federal prosecutors say the whole, messy plot was put into motion by his youngest son, Anthony Zottola, who had designs on the family's $45 million real estate empire.
