As vaccination rates rise, the pandemic-hampered live entertainment industry is taking slow and careful steps to get back into gear. Announcements of socially distanced shows at small and midsize independent venues are proliferating. Bonnaroo has announced its lineup and put tickets on sale. And now the Americana Music Association has announced a plan to bring back the in-person iteration of AmericanaFest in the fall.
Per a release, the 21st AmericanaFest will be held in Nashville Sept. 22-25. Conference registrations and the popular festival passes, typically a high bang-for-your-buck option that gets you into most of the many, many shows throughout the fest, will go on sale next Thursday, April 8. Many details, from ticket pricing and lineup information to specifics on COVID precautions, remain to be announced.
