(July 12, 2022) – The Yankee Air Museum proudly announces that its B-17 Yankee Lady and C-47 Hairless Joe will fly in the Wings of the North Air Expo on July 23-24 at the Flying Cloud Airport in Eden Prairie, MN. The renowned WWII aircraft will also offer once-in-a-lifetime rides experiences that do require a ticket to the Expo. The B-17 Flying Fortress was a heavy four-engine bomber in the US Army Air Force during WWII and was noted for its dangerous daylight missions over Germany. According to General Dwight D. Eisenhower, the C-47 was one of the most vital pieces of military equipment in winning the war. The C-47 Skytrain was developed from the Douglas DC-3 civilian airliner.
