Chris Bartolomie started working for the Town of Canmore on July 12, 1999.
âI was hired to plan the Millennium New Yearâs Eve celebrations,â Bartolomie said. âI worked out of the Recreation Centre in those days with a great bunch of folks and we laughed a lot. I just loved it!â
She soon found out that she worked with one more, less conspicuous, staff member.
âThat New Yearâs Eve was not only the first event I planned for the Town of Canmore but it was my first experience with Samantha â the ghost of the young girl that was rumoured to live there,â Bartolomie said. âMyself and a couple of volunteers were loading equipment into the back door of the Recreation Centre at about 2 in the morning when the lights in the arena came on and the music started playing â it was wild �
