i don t want to break it down with you. i just want to drop the mic. stephanie and i said this day after day after day after day and faced republicans on tv who said nonsense, that s not true, these are middle class people. they re not. anybody who thinks earning $1 million a year in america is middle class is wrong. that s just not right. we all knew this was coming. there s this huge pot of money, about $40 billion, such a small slice, 200,000 americans, sharing about $17.4 billion of it. i did a little math on it. that works out to about $85,000 a person for each of the folks that will claim deductions on that. there are some people making between $100,000 and $500,000 who will also claim deductions, mostly small business owners, family businesses, some of those llcs and partnerships, but when you look at the bottom end of the income scale, almost none of this money goes there. so what you end up with is a tax cut that is with all tax cuts
they ll have a say. people will put their hands in the air and they we re trying to offer something that helps the middle class. which way do you want it. it underscores how complicated it is. so many people vote with their pocketbooks. it s visceral. people said i want my taxes lowered. at the end of the day, people vote with their pocketbooks. this matters to people on both sides of the aisle, but can they actually get this through? it s massively complicated. and casey mentioned it earlier. we re talking act pass throughs. those llcs, just looking at them like they re small businesses, they re not. and you tell me, are people around this country screaming for corporate tax cuts? you know what s screaming? the stock markets because corporations are doing so well. that s not to say it wouldn t be a benefit if their taxes were
