You don’t have to know which hop varieties were used in the latest collaboration between two Kickstarted micro-breweries to enjoy a good beer. You can just try new things and see what you like. The latest drinks launches for spring 2021

Summery gin, punchy vintage cider, consistent cold brew, collab beers and rebellious rum are just some of the new drinks products to be released. Bombay Sapphire Sunset Bombay Sapphire has added to its Special Edition series with a gin designed to cocktail creativity. Sunset is ‘inspired by the mellow heat and orange glow of the setting sun’ and combines the signature flavour of the Bombay Sapphire’s 10 botanicals with an addition of golden turmeric, Indian white cardamom, and Spanish mandarin. The gin has a slightly higher abv of 43% that the distiller says allows for a heightened concentration of spices and can be used to make drinks such as the Sunset Negroni or served with tonic and a slice of orange. Sunset is the second release in the brand’s Special Editions range and follows the launch of its English Estate expression in 2019.

Julie Ashfield, managing director of buying at Aldi UK, said: “Lots of our favourite local breweries have been hugely affected by the pandemic. “As part of our commitment to supporting British suppliers, we’ve found a way to stock great quality and award-winning beers.”
