Night to Shine has grown a lot in the 10 years since it started on Feb. 9, the event took place at 725 churches across all 50 states and 56 countries, including eight Alabama Baptist churches.
Neal Hughes said one of the churches in his association Pike Road Baptist was in despair a while back. It was hard to for them see a vision for the future when, after a rich history, their congregation had declined from 300 to 15.
Dr. Susan Grace Barfoot, a long-time resident of Montgomery County, was born August 24, 1946 and stepped into heavenly eternity December 21, 2020.
She was welcomed home by those that went before her: mother, Elma Youngblood Barfoot; father, Woodrow Barfoot; older sister, Rebecca Barfoot Shifflett; her nephew, Matthew Blue; sister-in-law, Julia Williamson Barfoot and brother-in-law, Russell Shifflett.
She leaves behind a large legacy of loved ones including her siblings: Paul Barfoot (Aline), Joel Barfoot (Sherry), John Barfoot (Gaye) along with her sister Kathy Barfoot Blue (Bubba) and countless nieces and nephews who adored every moment with her.
