Juniata Co approves housing service contract | News, Sports, Jobs

bkreitzer@lewistownsentinel.com MIFFINTOWN Tuesday the Juniata County Commissioners unanimously carried a motion to approve an agreement between the Juniata Valley Tri-County Drug and Alcohol Abuse Commission and the county on behalf of Mifflin-Juniata Human Services to provide housing navigation services. The contract is for a maximum amount of $21,195 and subject to the availability of federal, state and local funds. Also during the meeting the commissioners approved the Pennsylvania Farmland Preservation “Certification of County Funds” for the 2021 program year. This motion was also unanimously carried by the commissioners. The following action was also taken: ¯ Acknowledged an increase to the Federal Fiscal Year 2020 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) in the amount of $25.00 increasing the total grant from $235,185 to $235,210 and approve increasing the 2020 CDBG allocation to Oakland Mills Sewer project by $25.
