Photograph By Julie Desjardins What looked like a muddy puddle at the side of a road in Thompson’s Riverside area turned out to be a sinkhole that trapped a 12-year-old boy for 90 minutes April 10. Samuel Desjardins and a friend were walking home and went through the puddle in an attempt to avoid deep mud at the side of the road, accoridng to a Facebook post by his mother Julie Desjardins. Samuel’s friend made it through without incident but when Samuel stepped into the puddle he sank up to his waist and couldn’t get out.
