Beachfront house planned for Lauder-linked lot in Palm Beach
House designed for lot at 1063 N. Ocean Blvd. would replace the one sold last year for $25 million by the estate of the late Barbara and Morton Mandel.

Palm Beach could see a new oceanfront mansion built on the North End, although it remains unclear which member of the billionaire Lauder cosmetics family has commissioned it.
The British Colonial-style house designed for 1063 N. Ocean Blvd. won the nod from the Architectural Commission and would replace the former home of the late philanthropists Barbara and Morton Mandel, whose name graces the town’s recreation center.
And the condo in question isn’t even finished yet.
But it has a few features that could justify the price tag, according to those involved with its development and sales effort.
For starters, it’s on the upper floors of the iconic Tiffany Building, above the famous jewelry store and smack in the middle of the action on Worth Avenue. And it includes a recently completed third-level rooftop terrace with a glass-enclosed room and a swimming pool.
The floorplan was designed with five bedrooms and about 13,000 square feet of living space, inside and out. About 9,876 of that space would be under air conditioning.
