So, with that, i will turn give the biography for mr. Emond. He retired in 2011 at the 30 years in government. Most of it in contract Technology Transfer and project management at nasa. He is a member of the Maritime Committee with the Maryland Historical society. He is a collector of historical artifacts from the American Revolution and civil war. Yeah, there were some very strong thunderstorms that rolled across southern virginia earlier this morning, and one of them did get very intense as it approached Virginia Beach and the norfolk area. Take a look at the radar. Going back as we take a look right now around our region, we have just a lingering clouds here and some showers just to our south, but as we go back in time, you can see this is the strong line of storms that came right through norfolk. Ill let this repeat again. You can see a lot of lightning, a very fastmoving storm. And this is the one that came right on through there, very intense, very strong winds. At the least it had very strong, over 60mileperhour Straight Line winds. There may have been some rotation with it. But you can see as it repeats again, it just came right through, was moving very quickly. Its offshore and has a lot of lightning with it. We have some other showers
