(WAFF) - In honor of International Women’s Day, women leaders in Huntsville gathered together in the community to honor the 19th Amendment mural. The Women’s Business Council received a plaque for sponsoring the downtown mural honoring women. The mural was designed in remembrance of women’s suffrage. The Women’s Economic Development Council, along with other community organizations, celebrated the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment with a community mural.
