It was last tuesday evening when officials of the hospital said a male patient in a hospital gown walked out of the main hospital toward the nearby rehab hospital. The patients nurse and a Security Officer from the rehab center tried to accompany him back. That is when armed Security Officers got involved. The patient under our care suffered a tragic interaction with two of our security personnel early last week. Unfortunately and sadly on thursday, he expired. Reporter the doctor said he cant identify the patient, say how he died or what happened during that tragic interaction. That tuesday evening, we notified the metropolitan Police Department to ask them to lead in an investigation. Reporter mpds report says a struggle inside. The patient was taken to the ground and one of the parties used hand control to restrain him. The two Security Officers are now on paid administrative leave.
