sophisticated strike. much more than what the houthis could do. one thing that is truly concerning here, the missiles and drones were fired off and didn t actually get pinged on our radar or saudi radar. why not? because they were flying so low and slow to the ground. they didn t show up. this was a sneak attack. and now the iranians are behind this. it s a question of where they fired them off from and how much we can prove on the world stage. looking at the iranians and understanding that they still have a check of hormuz. it s not just the straits. so the armed services committee person and congressman garamindi says you need to know the details and he doesn t feel like war is the answer.
yeah. help us understand how leadership has tried to figure out a way to get answers to questions like that. well, it s been difficult. there s no getting around it. the administration has broken with tradition and just refused to respond to subpoenas, to requests for information. i sat the other day i m on a homeland security committee. it was the day before 9/11. it was september 10th. we had a hearing that was supposed to be on the state of international and domestic terrorism. we had invited the acting director of homeland security, the head of the fbi and the head of the national counterterrorism center. they couldn t fit it in. they didn t show up. that is unheard of and frankly offensive as someone who was in the cia and pentagon. so i think we just have a problem right now where the administration is stonewalling. and we are a co-equal branch of government. we have to show some muscle too. we have to respect the constitution and push for more

that gets us back to this shutdown. i flew across the country this weekend, and at the airports i saw the faces of those who are working hard, keeping us safe, not getting paid. when i got to the airport after working friday night on saturday morning, this is what one tsa agent told me. she said, mr. lemon it startled me. she said, mr. lemon. she looked at my i.d. she said, you got to preach for us. this is hard. some people got mortgages. i didn t know what to say to her. she s right. on sunday, 10% of tsa employees scheduled to work, they called out. they didn t show up. what s going to happen when 10% turns into 12% and then 20% or 50% if this continues to go on?
