Longshot, Ohio’s champion three-year-old gelding trotter this year, showed Friday that he’s pretty capable in Pennsylvania, too. The son of Long Tom-Tintern blazed to victory for Chris Lems in 1:52.2, fastest ever at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows by a sophomore gelding trotter.
Pennsylvania champion Fulton became the fastest two-year-old ever at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows when he steamed to a 1:49.4 victory in Friday’s $82,500 Keystone Classic. Lyons Stealth sprang a 7-1 upset in the other division of the stakes for freshman colt and gelding pacers.
Canadian stalwart Sintra trekked his trade to Prince Edward Island to land himself in the province’s largest race after a 1:50.3 sizzler in the second of two $12,500 Gold Cup & Saucer Trials on Saturday night (Aug. 13) at Charlottetown Driving Park.
