SAN DIEGO
A driver in a stolen Hummer was arrested Sunday after leading Chula Vista police on a chase that ended in a trailer park in south San Diego, where the vehicle hit and critically injured a resident, police said.
Investigators believe the two men know each other and that the 44-year-old driver intentionally struck the victim, a 52-year-old man who suffered life-threatening injuries, San Diego police Lt. Andra Brown said.
“Out of an abundance of caution, due to the severity of the victim’s injuries, investigators from the San Diego police homicide unit were called to the scene to investigate,” she said.
