MCCOMB, Miss. (WLBT) - The city of McComb recently had a spare fire truck go down. Fire Chief Gary McKenzie says itâs put the city close to crisis level if another truck malfunctions.
âWithout that truck, every time we have a truck break down, we end up with a station that does not have a truck in it or we end up having to borrow a truck from another department,â McKenzie said.

BRAXTON, Miss. (WLBT) - The dispatcher’s voice was raspy as she paged out first responders to the scene where Ashlei McFarland was already cold to the touch.
“Central dispatch to Cato personnel, be en route 135 Conerly Road, 135 Conerly Road, for a possible deceased at this address…”
Dontrell Hunter, 27, and Ashley Basham, 46, were arrested in Lawrence County Tuesday night and charged in McFarland’s death. But even now, the connection between suspects and victim is not clear.

RANKIN COUNTY, Miss. (WLBT) - Brian McGairty, a realtor for Havard Real Estate Group, will be closing on a sale this Friday. The house on Terrapin Creek Road sold in two days.
âThey found it, they liked what they saw, they submitted an offer, they had that pre-approval letter on file, that they were able to share with us and the seller obviously executed that and went forward with that offer and it became a contract,â he said.
just so we re clear, you believe that the suspect is holed up in one of these buildings possibly jobe hall? what my understanding is, is that the authorities have focused on one particular building there on campus. that leads me to believe that s where they believe he is. at this point i don t have confirmation on the record from manufacture the law enforcement agencies but students are saying that the s.w.a.t. team has focused on this one building and they take that to mean that he may be in there. therese apel, thanks for the update. if you re just joining us, a professor has been shot dead on delta state university campus. this is in cleveland, mississippi. there could be a hostage situation. the shooter is still at large, could be holed up in a building as you can see from the live pictures here, there s a lot of chopper activity, a lot of police force coming to this area now. there are also reports that there could have been another shooting on another campus before this shoot
