50k for 50 years hiking series kicks off tomorrow Alan Rose and last updated 2021-02-05 20:01:12-05 EL PASO COUNTY — The El Paso County Parks Department is kicking off their 50k for 50 years hiking series at the Paint Mines Interpretive Park Saturday, Feb. 6. People can go on a guided hike or participate independently, and are encouraged to photograph their adventures and share on social media using #EPCParks50Years. Not only are we going to have our parks staff there, but we re going to have our park naturalist there, who s going to be able to really talk to us about the geology and the hoodoos and the cultural history of the site, said Theresa Odello, the Recreation Coordinator at El Paso County Parks.
