AUBURN – Diane Marie Ouellette, 101 of Auburn died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2021, at her home with her nieces by her side.She was born at home in Van Buren Maine on July 22, 1919, the sixth child to Thomas and Gertrude (Gagnon) Ouellette and was the last surviving of 17 children.As a young woman she left Maine with her sister, Gerry, to work in Connecticut, where she would reside for 40 years.Diane, along with her sister, Gerry, helped care for their special needs brother, helping him become an independent man.Upon retirement, after working 30 years in accounting at Connecticut General she returned to Maine to live with her sister, Adelaide. They shared many good years together.She was a great family historian willingly sharing many stories of her childhood years living in Northern Maine. One in partic
