My name is Omoyele Sowore. I am the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, and I am going to be the Nigerian president after February 2023. I want to say here and it's very important to me that I observed one of the most peaceful elections in 1993. Had we allowed that election to stand, we would not be signing a peace agreement today because that you are signing a peace agreement in Nigeria shows that elections have become war in Nigeria.
The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, Omoyele Sowore, has again faulted the idea of signing peace pacts ahead of the 2023 presidential election, querying whether Nigeria and the candidates are at war. Sowore stated this in his speech during a one-day roundtable and closed-door meeting with the leadership of the 18 registered political parties and their presidential candidates on Friday. He also accused some Nigerian governors of instigating violence during electioneering periods.
