of the legitimacy of the zelensky government and ukraine independence and he creates a vassal state not unlike what he s doing in belarus right now. he has over 30,000 forces in belarus, postured above kyiv, able to drive into kyiv if they wanted to, just level kyiv with artillery and rocket power and air fire. that is not going to happen, and i hope i m wrong about all of this. i don t see a negotiated settlement where there s a win-win. i love josh s skeptical view of how this is going to turn out. it s unfortunate, but we want our president to walk away with a win. what does that look like? that is kind of a status quo, where there aren t a bunch of dead bodies in ukraine. maybe it s a little more russian
obvious reasons, because he has a history of not paying his lawyers. there aren t a bunch of talented lawyers who want to do pro bono work for a purported billionaire who is trying to keep secret his involvement or activity during a massive attack on the capitol. trump only has a limited amount of time to bring any lawsuit if he decides to bring one. at some point the national archives are going to send these materials over to the select committee, and then that s the ball game. so that s the big pressing question for the next week or two. does trump follow through and actually bring this litigation and then how do things proceed from there? of course, the other question is how does the january 6th select committee try to enforce its subpoenas, subpoenas in this case where trump is telling witnesses not to cooperate because of this claim of executive privilege that he s made. those are the two pressing immediate issues. and, of course, the white house minority leader that
president s ability to attorney/client privilege? i don t think it makes a difference. there aren t a bunch of people that say it happened ns you can give me everyday that says one of the other sides is accurate i would say i don t believefully of them. you want to investigate this one from two liars when there s nobody else in the room? let me look at this. this is going nowhere. or if you have and i m not a lawyer, but if you have somebody that can one of the people told and said i just had lunch with
again, when you re talking may, you re talking the start of election season. i don t think you re going to see too many of those big fights in which charlie dent s vote would be crucial. he, kind of in a similar way to jeff flake in the senate, got to a point where he s essentially speaking for himself. there aren t a bunch of other republican lawmakers lining up behind charlie dent. he has been something of a lone dissenter in a lot of ways. after the break, we want to talk about more bad press for two different members now of the president s cabinet, back in the spotlight because of ethics questions. what s in store for these two guys? we ll talk about it as we come to you live from west palm beach today and all week long. nice day out here. looking ahead to the president s meeting with shinzo abe here later on.
this is escalating very quickly. it struck me. does it matter there aren t a bunch of people confirmed at the state department at a moment like this. you actually do have career diplomats who weren t there who literally their job is to every day represent u.s. interests. there is a career foreign service ambassador in qatar and all these gulf states who would have liked to know in advance that donald trump was going to saudi arabia and upsetting the balance of the region. that s generally helpful to share with people you have on the ground and good for diplomacy. this is emblematic of how donald trump does business. as a ceo it s all about his whims and what he wants and it doesn t matter if it causes a log jam in getting things done. we have a ceo of this country
