Dallas police investigating fatal shooting of 55-year-old man in east Oak Cliff

Dallas police are investigating after a man was found fatally shot late Thursday in east Oak Cliff.
Officers were called about 11:50 p.m. to the 1500 block of Iowa Avenue, near South Corinth Street Road, where they found 55-year-old Jason Williams suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead.
No one has been arrested in connection with the shooting, and police did not release any additional information about the incident.

A 57-year-old man was stabbed multiple times on New Year s Eve in Dallas, police said. He died from his injuries.
Officers responded around 11:20 p.m. to the stabbing call at 6575 C. F. Hawn Freeway. When they arrived, police said they found Armando Castillo suffering multiple stab wounds.
First responders took him to a local hospital, where he later died.

Police found Darrius D. Rivers, 29, suffering from gunshot wounds in an East Oak Cliff home in the 1200 block of Grant Street near South Denley Drive, police said. Someone reported the shooting to 911 a little before 11 p.m. Thursday. Rivers was taken to a hospital where he died.
