it makes no sense whatsoever. and jeff sessions is shameful for what he is doing to the department of justice department. we have another issue and that is the use of private prisons. as an economics guy there is nothing with a more pur vis incentive the idea that you run a private prison and your profitability comes from being more prisoners is the opposite of what society wants. we have a president who ran for office saying he was a business person. well, if you re a business person the inspector general put out a report just a year and a half ago showing clearly not only are we spending too much money for private prisons, but they don t work. essentially people don t get access to rehabilitation, we re spending too much money, they re too violent. the staff there are under paid in pursuit of profit. everything about them don t work, and yet here we are doubling down on private prisons as a response to trump s tough on crime policies. it gets worse than that because first and f
jon: every white house brings in a team of people, and some of them work and some of them don t work. don t work out. would it be all that unusual if the president decided to make changes among his communications staff? no. this has deftly happened before, but this will be quick. he has only been in 100 days, the less parallel was bill clinton made a shakeup as his communications department in the first months of his tenure. but usually they come in for a year, two years. and the problem is for trump, and the third week there were discussions about staff intrigue, palace intrigue, fighting among each other, jockeying for position. this has been a problem because so much of the energy inside the west wing is focused on who is ahead with their own agendas and not necessarily the presidents. jon: there have been an inordinate number of leaks from this administration, would you agree? i think absolutely, the number of people who are able
