A Papier-mâché musical box in the shape of a barrel organ. Attached, the figure of a monkey in Persian robes playing the cymbals. This item, discovered in the vaults of the theatre, still in working order.

.- Doyle Auctioneers & Appraisers and Christine Baranski announced an epic package newly donated to the previously announced Stage & Screen auction, benefitting The Actors Fund, by Andrew Lloyd Webber and The Phantom of the Opera. This particular item includes admission for two to the long-awaited reopening performance of Phantom, the longest-running show in Broadway history, as Lord Lloyd Webbers personal guests, as well as the iconic and rare Lot 665 prop direct from the West End production. The prop, as it is described by the auctioneer in the musicals opening scene, is a papier-mâché musical box in the shape of a barrel organ. Attached, the figure of a monkey

A live online auction, Stage & Screen, will take place Wednesday, April 28 and it will benefit The Actors Fund.
In partnership with Christine Baranksi and Doyle Auctioneers, Stage & Screen will feature offerings from the worlds of theater, Hollywood, opera, dance and more, with lots including original drawings, scenic and costume designs, photographs, meaningful wardrobe and one-of-a-kind memorabilia.
“Talk about Spring Cleaning! I asked my friends and colleagues of stage and screen to lend support to this meaningful auction and the response has been extraordinary,” Baranski said in a news release.
